The results of the SATIC Tourism Barometer for the June quarter 2010 suggest that SATIC members experienced softer trading with the performance index for the June quarter contracting by 16%
from the March quarter 2010.
In the longer term, you were optimistic, with 72% either confident or very confident about business for the next 12 months. With 17% reporting that more people were employed in your business when compared to the same time last year.

To better prepare for the bushfire season, the Country Fire Service
(CFS) will be conducting a series of FREE Bushfire Preparedness workshops across South Australia in partnership with SATIC.
The workshops will assist you to prepare your business, staff and guests for the next bushfire season.
Details: Two workshops are organised for August, with further workshops to be held across the State through September and October. Details to follow.

If your business uses a non SA Water supply (such as rainwater or bore water) the new Safe Drinking Water Bill will affect you.
The draft Safe Drinking Water Bill has been released for public consultation. SATIC has been in consultation with SA Health and as a result there are a number of amendments incorporated in the Bill to reduce impacts on small business.
SA Health will also be holding two information sessions as part of the consultation process.
